A Brief CV

I got a first degree in Mathematics (and studied Philosophy too) at the National University of Mexico (UNAM). Afterwards I got a PhD in Computer Science at the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine (then part of the University of London) under Chris Hankin’s supervision. After finishing I stayed two years at the Institute for Applied Mathematics and Systems at the UNAM. I moved to the Faculty of Science in January 2002. I was Head of the First Degree Program in Computer Science from May 2004 to April 2006 and Deputy Head (Academic Affairs) of the Postgraduate Program in Philosophy of Science from April 2007 to March 2008.

You can have a look at my full curriculum vitæ (in Spanish).

My main research interests are:
In the past I have also worked in biological systems modelling in association with the IPN-UNAM-Mexico team for the iGEM competition.
